Why does the extension need permissions?
Chrome extensions require permissions to do specific tasks. HyperApply requests limited permissions so it can work on job listings you are viewing.
In plain terms, permissions are used to:
- Read the job listing content visible on the page (so the tool can tailor your CV)
- Run the extension UI alongside the job post
- Send the relevant text to the backend to generate your tailored CV and return a PDF
HyperApply is designed to:
- operate only when you use it (user-initiated actions)
- focus on the job page you are actively viewing
- avoid unrelated browsing data
