In practice, “ATS-friendly” depends on:

General guidelines HyperApply follows:

• clear section headings (Experience, Skills, Education, etc.)
• consistent bullet formatting
• simple, readable typography
• export as a standard PDF

If you want to maximize ATS compatibility:

• choose simpler templates where possible
• avoid excessive design elements
• keep job titles, dates, and company names easy to parse
