How Upgrades and Downgrades Work

billing plans upgrade downgrade subscription

You can change your plan when paid plans are available. This page explains what to expect in simple terms.

For current plan options, see:

  • `/pricing.html`
  • `/legal.html`

Upgrades (moving to a higher plan)

Upgrading usually means:

  • higher monthly generation limits become available
  • premium templates/modes (if included) unlock

Depending on the payment provider’s rules, upgrades may:

  • take effect immediately, or
  • take effect at the next billing cycle

The product or billing portal will show the effective date and your current entitlements.

Downgrades (moving to a lower plan)

Downgrading usually means:

  • your future monthly limit will be lower
  • some premium features may lock at the end of the current billing period

In many subscription systems, downgrades take effect at the next renewal so you keep what you already paid for.

FAQ

Will my plan change immediately?

It depends on the payment provider and the specific change. The billing portal is the source of truth for timing.

Will I lose access instantly on downgrade?

Typically downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period, but always check your billing portal for the exact rules.
