Troubleshooting: PDF Download Issues
On this page
If your PDF doesn’t download, downloads as blank, or won’t open, use this checklist.
1) Try downloading again
Small network hiccups happen. Try one more time.
2) Check browser download settings
- Make sure downloads are allowed
- Check if Chrome is prompting for a download location
- Look at the Downloads bar / Downloads page
3) Disable popup/download blockers
Some extensions can block downloads or new tabs.
Temporarily disable blockers and try again.
4) Try another browser profile or incognito
This helps isolate whether another extension is interfering.
5) Re-download from your history
If the document was generated successfully, you can often re-download it from the History area in HyperApply.
See: /docs/how-to-manage-generated-versions
6) If the PDF opens but looks wrong
That’s typically a formatting issue:
- try another template
- shorten long bullets
See: /docs/troubleshooting-formatting-issues
7) Still stuck?
