What Data Is Copied From the Job Post

privacy job-metadata job-listings data

HyperApply uses job listings to help you create role-specific documents. This page explains what data is used and what is stored in a practical, user-friendly way.

What HyperApply uses from the job listing

To generate a tailored CV, HyperApply uses the job listing content you’re viewing, typically including:

  • job title
  • company name
  • the job description text that is visible on the page
  • role requirements, responsibilities, and preferred skills (as described in the post)

This information is used to tailor:

  • your summary and top skills
  • which experience bullets are emphasized
  • the language used to match the role’s vocabulary

What is stored for your history

HyperApply stores minimal job metadata to let you:

  • see what you generated
  • re-download past CVs
  • keep an application history

Examples of stored metadata can include:

  • job title
  • company name
  • the job listing URL
  • generation date
  • template and writing mode used
  • links to your generated documents

What is *not* stored

HyperApply does not store the full job description text as part of your history. Job listing text is processed to generate outputs and then discarded.

For full details, see:

  • `/privacy.html`

Why this approach exists

  • It helps you keep a useful history without storing entire job descriptions.
  • It supports privacy-friendly behavior while still enabling tailored outputs.
